Alexander is definitely feeling the effects of treatment. He has completed 15 treatments. He would not eat hardly anything at all yesterday. He has lost a half pound since Friday. That’s about 1% of his little body in just a few days. This is terrifying. We just want our angel to eat!  Anything!

He says his back hurts and doesn’t feel like walking. He slept most of the evening yesterday before then going to sleep for the night. 🛌 

He explained to me yesterday that sometimes after he wakes up (from anesthesia) that he can’t think of the words to say. 💔

We have gotten numerous questions about chemotherapy. I don’t think that it was clear to everyone that he started getting a chemo drug on the day he started radiation. That will continue until 8/15. 

He has general anesthesia every single treatment as well, because he can’t move during radiation. Then, he will do 4 or 7 rounds of intense chemo—much more intense than what he is doing now. That will take around 6-9 months, depending on how his body responds. This is NOT fair!

We have radiation planning also today. What that means is they will do a CT and MRI today to determine what areas will receive focused boost treatments—will they boost only the tumor bed, or will his spine get focused radiation also, since we found the metastatic disease?

We are extremely anxious to know what the small tumor in his spine looks like after 15 treatments! We will post an update as soon as we know.
