One year ago today, our lives changed forever.  On June 4, 2023, our perfect, beautiful son was diagnosed with aggressive brain cancer, evidenced by a golf ball-sized tumor in his cerebellum.  Three of the attached photos are from that horrific day.

Today, we got the best news we can get: his scan from yesterday shows no disease progression!  As always, we have to remind ourselves and others that this relief is only temporary, but it’s so, so welcome after the compound nightmare of three weeks ago.

The closer we get to each scan, the more myopic about the future we become.  Getting this news allows us to look ahead again.  We can now look forward to Alexander’s preschool graduation and a summer of fun and great experiences for both of our children.  If you like seeing pictures of Alexander and Charlotte smiling, we hope to give you plenty to enjoy!

Thank you Matt and family for a beautiful morning filled with strength, courage, and love. Especially inspired by Alexander and Charlotte’s bravery. Our prayers will be with you. We too have a cancer survivor (going on 5 yrs in October) in family. God bless you!
