Scans show no progression!

We just had our brain tumor clinic visit to review his full brain and spine MRI and lumbar puncture results from yesterday. We could not feel more relief to have another 3 months to breathe.

We met with the genetic counselor for the first (and probably the only) time. 123 genes were tested, and none of them showed any increased risk for other cancers, for Alexander or for Charlotte. Unfortunately, this result doesn’t explain why Alexander developed medulloblastoma or have any bearing on the ability to predict relapse. He just got really unlucky, and we have to wait and see how deep the bad luck goes.

We don’t have anything else to add for the moment. It’s been a day of good news, as good news goes.
